July Update #1


Holy donkey spunk! Things are coming along and the end of R-Naught is in sight. 

Updates:

  • Controller Support Update:  I'd say 95% of the current game can be played on a gamepad. There are some weirdly-coded cutscene bits that still need to be addressed, but it's almost there.


  • Bonkoball: Tough to put into words, but it's a turn-based battle with a ball you can hit back and forth that creates another win/lose scenario. The ball also absorbs elemental attacks and adds layers to the battle. ANYWAY, it's something I cooked up months ago but hadn't actually put it in the game until now!


  •  LunarRover:  Traversing the moon sounded most fun in a rover - which was pretty easy to set up. What I'm currently working on is incorporating battles with the rover. Similar to Bonkoball, the rover will have an elemental cannon that you fill with elemental...juice(?) and then fire it off. Different elemental combinations = different bullet effects. It's ambitious, but I think it'll be a rad concept when it's done.


  • Scenes: I only have the final boss area left to finish. Everything after that is icing on the cake. It's a great feeling!


  • Marketing: I stink at marketing / social media so I'm fortunate to have some friends who were interested in taking that on. We're keeping it organic so any likes, shares, wishlists, or word-of-mouth advertising of the game helps immensely! Also, if you're someone who thinks you can help in this area - let's chat! More gameplay trailers (and possibly a commercial) coming soon!
